Very nice, Mari! Reading your column I found myself wondering if such a law could pass now. Would those in favor be derogatorily described as "woke"? Ridiculous to view conquering injustice as a partisan issue, but that seems to be where we are. Thank goodness the ADA was passed long enough ago to be of help to Casey. That is wonderful and as you say, necessary.

Oh I know. That very question was on my mind as I wrote the post. I wish everyone would realize that when we extend a helping hand, it may cost some money in the short term, but in the long term we all benefit.

Hello dear Mari. I was absolutely overcome when I saw the signing interpretation of the Star-Spangled Banner! Everybody and I mean everybody should witness that. Thank you for your thought-provoking words. I especially like that you included the R and the D after the politicians names. Yes we so definitely need to get back to civility.
