Am listening to (and digging) the motet as I type this.
One of Paul’s and my favorite college classes was the class we took in Northern Renaissance Art which of course focused heavily on Dutch painters and one of the things I loved (among many) was how there were those very human touches of very recognizable daily life: like the dogs!
Really love that art! And dogs! And love seeing Lynn looking well!
Thanks for sharing this! Dutch paintings are such a feast in so many ways. Enjoy your break and the beautiful Spring!
You too!
So lovely and what a sweet name for the painting. The Dutch masters really knew their dogs, even if all the children looked like shrunken adults.
Haha the baby in this painting looks like they belong in a tavern!
Ha! Now that you mention it, that baby does look like she’s a regular at Cheers!
Ha! They really do!

Oh thank you! She is doing much better!
I am glad!!!!! Precious Lynn.
Thank you for this! Have a relaxing vacation!
Thanks!
Nice read, and a lovely motet, perfect for spring!
I can imagine your beautiful, pure voice on the soprano part!
I love this!! ❤️
I knew that a wonderful poet like you would appreciate it!
