I, too, was surprised by the Mona Lisa “copy” in the Prado with no one looking at it. It’s beautiful—quite the surprise, too, since when we saw it there was no one else even in the same room. We could drink it in in peaceful solitude.
Alex, our guide, really hyped up the surprise, so I was expecting something, but definitely not that! It really is a lovely experience to look at her without the insane crowds.
